Immune Support

Our immune system recognizes and destroys anything foreign to the body, including cells like bacteria and other microbes, and foreign particles including toxic compounds. This recognition and destruction is performed by cells in the circulatory and the lymphatic systems. Unlike allopathic drugs which affect specific foreign bodies, most herbs for the immune system are general immune system stimulators (immunostimulants). Rather, they increase resistance by mobilizing "effector cells" which act against all foreign particles.

In a recent clinical pilot trial, Echinacea purpurea, Astragalus and Licorice showed promising results, for immune cell activation. The study was done in collaboration with the Helfgott Research Institute, National College of Natural Medicine using extracts grown and manufactured by Oregon's Wild Harvest.
